JLGA has been engaged by The Storm King School to complete a feasibility study and develop an iconic design for a new, state-of-the-art, 21,000 SF Academic Center. The new building will expand SKS’s academic facilities to meet and accommodate enrollment growth—and support the school’s commitment to STEAM learning and teaching for student success in the 21st Century.
As the first new campus building to be constructed since 1960, the new academic center will set a bold, contemporary, and transformational design direction and vernacular for the historic campus’ future facilities.
The JLGA-designed academic center will serve as an educational hub and central campus focal point for students and faculty. A green roof will embody the school’s commitment to the environment, while providing a learning opportunity about sustainability for students.
