Brooklyn Cyclones Ballpark

Once the heart of American amusement, Coney Island is undergoing a renaissance with the creation of Maimonides Park (formerly KeySpan Park), designed by JLGA. Located on the site of the former Steeplechase Amusement Park and next to the iconic Parachute Jump tower, this stadium serves as the home for a Minor League Single-A baseball team affiliated with the New York Mets. Completed in time for the 2001 season, the stadium includes seating for 6,500, luxury suites, food services, retail concessions, and more, transforming the site into a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue.

JLGA’s design bridges Surf Avenue and the Riegelmann Boardwalk, offering a contemporary facility that honors Coney Island’s cultural heritage while opening doors to future commercial development. The stadium is equipped for baseball games, concerts, and various events, with features such as 12 luxury suites, locker rooms, press boxes, and ample parking for 1,240 vehicles.

Maimonides Park excels in balancing modern amenities with respect for its surroundings. It preserves neighborhood harmony by maintaining public access to the beach, boardwalk, and Steeplechase Pier, and strengthens the connection to the historic Parachute Jump. This thoughtfully designed venue not only elevates the community but also attracts private investment, reinvigorating the waterfront just minutes from millions of people.
