Fordham University has partnered with JLGA on numerous projects to meet the ever-expanding needs of their athletics department, starting with the renovation of Coffey Field. This synthetic turf men’s baseball field is designed to seat 500 spectators. Player and fan amenities include covered dugouts, public restrooms and a press box. JLGA designed the baseball field on a fast-track schedule and provided features including a video platform, public announcement system and scoreboard.

More recently, JLGA was selected by Fordham University to perform a comprehensive renovation of the 158,000 sq. ft. Bahoshy Softball Complex and Murphy Field. At the Bahoshy Softball Complex, JLGA introduced a new synthetic turf surface with a regulation clay infield, enhanced practice amenities including a dedicated pitching warm-up area and batting cages, and improved site infrastructure such as perimeter fencing, field branding, and sport-specific markings. Murphy Field underwent a significant transformation with the installation of a new synthetic turf system, updated perimeter fencing, and integrated branding and field markings tailored for football and soccer. To meet regulation size requirements for collegiate soccer, JLGA widened the field and designed a new retaining wall and drainage system to support the expanded footprint.

These renovations not only elevated the performance and usability of Fordham’s athletic fields but also reflected JLGA’s commitment to creating high-quality, durable, and regulation-compliant collegiate sports environments.
