JLGA worked with Mount Sinai Health System to enhance the public areas of their Brooklyn hospital. The project included a design of the ground floor lobby, elevator and stairs, restrooms, conference room, emergency command center and corridors.
As part of the redesign, JLGA leveled two existing lobbies on the ground floor and lower level to create an annex to connect the new, expanded, and ADA-compliant lobby to the main hospital’s inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Design to enhance the user experience – regardless of physical ability
Branded signage was added to the exterior along with a canopied, lit entrance to create a more prominent and contemporary presence for the community—and to instill confidence in the services offered within. The result is a bright and welcoming Mount Sinai presence for this important and underserved Brooklyn community that will encourage residents to seek out much needed services.
