The Labor and Delivery floor postpartum rooms – where new mothers go to recover after giving birth – had not been renovated in over 20 years.
New furniture and lighting throughout the suite helped improve doctor/staff workflow while protecting patient privacy. For example, three-function control lights in each patient room help to alleviate disturbing one patient when doctors check-in on another patient.
Additional guest chairs were added for visitors and are stored vertically to allow for more open circulation when not in use. The project standardized all the finishes in the suite.
